Death

Cynthia Edmonson, 53, of Charlotte, passed away Friday, February 3, 2006, at Presbyterian Hospital, Main, surrounded by her family. Her family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 PM today, Sunday, February 5, at the Wilson Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 5301 Albemarle Road. Graveside services will follow at 2 PM Monday, February 6, in Sunset Memory Gardens, with the Reverend Gene Cole of Devonshire Baptist Church officiating. Born September 10, 1952, in Atlanta, GA, a daughter of John Lionel and Helen Hollingsworth Edmonson of the home, she grew up in Charlotte and attended Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools. Even though Cynthia was handicapped since a car accident at her age 17, she was such a joy to everybody and always had a smile on her face. She will be sorely missed. In addition to her parents, Cynthia is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Dianna and Mack Furr; nephews, John Furr and his wife, Heidi, and Scott Furr; and great-nephew, Nicholas Furr, all of Charlotte. The family would like for you to make any memorials you wish to the charity of your choice and extend their thanks to Dr. Roe and the ICU Nurses of Presbyterian Hospital, Main, for their outstanding care.
