Death

Helen Louise Edmonson Mrs. Edmonson, 81, of Charlotte, died January 8, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital. She was born December 23, 1927 in Atlanta, GA, to the late Charles and Lola Hollingsworth. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. We will miss her greatly. Besides her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Edmonson and brother, Rev. Marshall Vaughn. Mrs. Edmonson leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Mack Furr; grandsons, Scott Furr and girlfriend Jamie Dwight, John Furr and wife Heidi; great grandson, Nicholas Furr; former husband and friend, John Edmonson; and stepmother, Willie Mae Hollingsworth. A private graveside service was held on Saturday at Sunset Memory Gardens officiated by Rev. Gene Cole. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Presbyterian Hospice & Palliative Care, POB 33549, Charlotte, NC, 28233.
