Death
Henry Eugene Furr, 60, of Route 3, Crozet died Saturday, Feb. 12, 1994, In the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born Feb. 9, 1934, in Cabarrus, N.C, and was a son of Homer C. and Viola S. Furr. Mr. Furr was a retired disabled laborer. Survivors include two sisters, Peggy Helms of Rockwell, N.C. and Mildred Lowder of Concord, N.C.; two brothers, Clyde Furr of Rockwell, N.C, and Robert Furr of Mount Pleasant, N.C.; and a half brother, Jimmy Furr of Stanley County, N.C. The family of Ethel Gibson were his special friends. They had taken care of him during his last years. She has four children, Melvin Gibson, James Gibson, Ethel Marie Gibson and Mary Ann Gibson. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Teague Chapel by the Rev. Dale Brudvig. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Churchyard.
