Notes
Death
Pinky E. Honeycutt, 78, passed away on May 28, 2025, in Tampa, Florida. Born on December 22, 1946, Pinky was a true Southerner at heart, raised in Concord, North Carolina. She held fond memories of her upbringing and often shared stories of her childhood with friends and acquaintances. While living in North Carolina, she was a member of Pitts Baptist Church in Concord. From 1990 until her retirement in 2002, Pinky worked as an Accounting Executive with the Volvo Big Truck Division in Charlotte, NC. Her professional dedication was matched by her vibrant personality and love for life. For the past 22 years, Pinky made her home in Palm Beach, Florida, where she embraced the coastal lifestyle. She had a deep love for the beach and mountains, a keen eye for fashion, and a fondness for a well-crafted Bloody Mary cocktail. Her vivacious spirit left an impression on all who knew her. Pinky's greatest joy came from her family. She is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Keith Honeycutt and Scott Furr, and her three grandchildren Marissa, Morgan, and Sebastian who brought immense pride and happiness to her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby Dover Furr and John Ira Furr; her sister, Kathy Renteria; and her brother, John Furr. In her final year, Pinky welcomed the support of a home nurse with grace and warmth, sharing stories that reflected a life well-lived and deeply felt. A private memorial for family will be held in Palm Beach, Florida. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.Concord & Kannapolis Independent Tribune, Concord, North Caolina, June 7, 2025
