Death

Carl Wayne Furr, 62 of Aberdeen died Friday at his residence. He was predeceased by his father William Reid Furr and a brother William Lee Furr. Carl worked for a number of years in the flooring business as an installer and had a great love for fishing. He is survived by five stepsons Ronnie Lee Poindexter (Phyllis) of Norman, Randy Lynn Poindexter (Debbie) of Ashley Heights, Ricky Lane Poindexter (Charlotte) of Broadway, Richard Lyndale Poindexter of Troy, Rex Lyndon Poindexter (Dianne) of Aberdeen, grandson Ricky Wayne Poindexter of the home, mother Shirley Irene Furr of Pine Bluff, brothers Michael S. Furr (Martha) and Jeffrey R. Furr both of Pine Bluff and a sister Teresa Furr Ring (Lester) of Cameron, 21 Grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday November 16, 2015 at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 217 S. Pinehurst Street, Aberdeen with Rev. Horace E. Warwick officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst.
