Montana Ritter Furr, 58, died Monday, Dec. 14, 1998, at her home in Hoke Co. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998 at the Boles Funeral home Chapel in Southern Pines with burial in the Bethesda...ABERDEEN -- Mrs. Montana Ritter Furr of Aberdeen died Monday in her home. Mrs. Furr formerly worked for Burlington Mills in Raeford. She was the owner and operator of Furr's Quality Pine Needles and Mulch. She was a foster mother. The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Boles Funeral Home and Crematory chapel. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery. Mrs. Furr is survived by her husband, Carl Furr; five sons, Ronnie L. Poindexter of Carthage, Randy L. Poindexter of Jackson Springs, Ricky L. Poindexter of Raleigh, Richard L. Poindexter of Troy and Rex L. Poindexter of Pinebluff; two sisters, Virginia Longkert of Aberdeen and Georgia Lane of Carthage; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
