Death
Ruth Moore Redding, 89, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away on November 10, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. Ruth was born on March 10, 1924 in Forsyth County, a daughter to the late Benjamin Franklin Fulp and Minnie Lou Della Furr Fulp. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband and the father of her children, Tom Paten Moore, Sr., her second husband, Daniel William Redding, a son, Jimmy Edward Moore, and two sons in laws, William Spencer Weaver and Carl Melvin Porter. She was employed with RJ Reynolds for 15 years. Ruth was the owner and operator of Redding Fishing Lake in Clemmons and a former owner and operator of Kincaid Motel and Square Deal Motel and Restaurant in Atlantic Beach, NC. She loved quilting, gardening, flowers, collected dolls, and glassware. Ruth was a giving, caring, and humble person. Her main focus in life was her children and to teach them how to be and stay a family. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend and will be truly missed by all that knew her. Ruth is survived by six children, George Tex Moore and wife, Betty of Winston Salem, Tom Paten Moore and wife, Diane of Winston-Salem, Eugene Branson Moore and wife, Mary Ann of Lexington, Ricky Donald Moore and wife, Lynne of Wallburg, Patricia Ann Weaver of Winston-Salem and Gail Porter of Winston-Salem; a special daughter in law, Wanda Plemmons and her husband, Bob of Kernersville; thirteen grandchildren, David V., Margie, Mysti, Steve, William, David W., Dalenna, Paten, Branson, Patrick, Lauren, Jay and James; ten great grandchildren, Shelby, Jacy, Jordan M., Devin, Kayla, Jayden, Grayson, Sean, Luke and Jordan and her devoted family dog, Precious. A funeral service will be held 10 AM, Wednesday, November 13th in the Chapel of Frank Vogler and Sons Funeral Chapel, Reynolda Road, with the Reverend Doctor. Tim Sapp officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 12th at the funeral home from 6 until 8 PM.Endnotes
