Death

SALUDA - Myrtle Catherine Fisher, 84, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at her home. She was a native of Winston-Salem, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Minnie Furr Fulp. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James C. "Dink" Shelton, and her second husband, Charlie Fisher. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Lerch and her husband, Rick, of California; her son, Gus Shelton and his wife, Carolyn, of Gloucester; a sister, Ruth Redding of Winston-Salem, N.C.; grandson, Keith Shelton and his wife, Lisa; and great-granddaughters, Jennifer Rowe and her husband, Ashley, and Jessica Shelton. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, in Shackelfords Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Dennis Hollandsworth. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family request memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, c/o Mrs. G.
