Death
Mr. George Nelson “Butch” Boone, age 70, of Fort Mill, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, at his home. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until Noon, Wednesday, January 4, 2022, at Wolfe Funeral Home. The funeral service will be private. A Rock Hill native, Butch was a son of the late Yancey Boone and Stella Whitaker Boone. He worked as an auto body technician with Clinton Ford in Rock Hill. Butch was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved watching college and professional sports. Surviving are two children, Angela B. Pulley (Douglas) of Fort Mill and George “Butch” Boone, Jr. (Allison) of Rock Hill; two sisters, Elaine Thomas and Mary Lou Thomas both of Rock Hill; two grandchildren, Blake and Morgan; and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Avery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Furr Boone (2002).Endnotes
