Born in Chesterfield, he was a son of the late Patrick and Mary Boone. Was owner and operator of Boone Auto Body Shop at Fort Mill for 37 years and a member of Sisk Memorial Baptist Church of Fort Mill. Burial at Unity Cemetery, Fort Mill, SC. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Stelle W. Boone; sons, Yancey Boone Jr, William Boone, George "Butch Boone, Donald Morris, G.W. Morris and Ronald Morris. Daughters, Mrs. Mildred Benton, Mrs. Elaine Thomas, Miss Teresa Boone, Mrs Mary Lee Gardner, Mrs. Vera Lee Knight, Mrs. Betty Hayes, Mrs. Betty Hayes, Mrs. Mary Lou Thomas, and Mrs. Shirley Delp.
