PONTOTOC, Miss. — Services were today for Richard T. Furr, 31, of Pontotoc, with burial in Pontotoc City Cemetery, Browning Funeral Home in charge. Furr was killed in a two-car crash Thursday night on Mississippi Highway Six four miles east of Pontotoc. The Mississippi Highway Patrol said Furr died when his car collided with a car driven by James Gilbert Wright of Verona, Miss., who was unhurt. A student at Ittawamba Junior College in Fulton, Miss., Furr was an Air Force veteran who had served in Vietnam. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Rennea Stepp Furr; his parents, Col. and Mrs. Richard Furr, all of Pontotoc; a sister, a brother and one grandmother.
