Stan,
I recently finished reading a book I picked up at the library, Safely Rest, concerning the handling of the bodies of soldiers killed in WWII.

A major portion of the book concerns the search for the remains of Jesse D. "Red" Franks who was from Columbus MS, & was killed in a bombing raid in 1943. His fiancee was Dorothy "Dottie" Turner.
Near the end of the book, I learned that "Dottie" Turner married Richard H. "Dick" Furr after the war was over. It appears from my google research that this Dick Furr was a 1st cousin of your Dad.
Thought you might be interested.
