Death
Services for Winston H. Furr, 70, Tyler, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Home West chapel, Tyler, with Dr. Joe Grubbs and Brother Bill Agee officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Furr died Thursday in a Dallas hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born April 19, 1920, in Collin County, was a Tyler resident since 1966 and a member of First Christian Church. He was a retired district manager for Rawson Drug and Sundry, a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans and a member of American Legion. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys Marie Furr, Tyler; a son, Gary Furr, Tyler; a sister, Norma Ruth Pritchard, Longview; and two granddaughters, Tanya Furr and Amanda Furr, both of Tyler. Pallbearers will be Harold Holcomb, Kenneth Pritchard, W.H. Miller, Overton Littlejohn and Charles Vandusen.Tyler Morning Telegraph, Tyler, Texas, April 15, 1991
