Birth
Various records show her birth anywhere from 1871 to 1885 in either North Carolina or Georgia. Her obituary states she was 93 years old and a native of North Carolina. Both her parents and grandparents were born in North Carolina.Death
Mrs. Franklin Lee Moore, 93, died Monday at her residence in Wilcox County. Mrs. Moore, a native of North Carolina, had resided in Wilcox County most of her life. She was a member of Double Run Baptist Church. Survivors are four sons, W. F. Moore of Warner Robins, J. H. Moore and David H. Moore, both of Ashburn, and Charles Fletcher Furr of Dillon, S.C.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchilden; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Double Run Baptist Church with Rev. Melvin Wise and Rev. Leroy Clack officiating. Burial will be in the Oklahoma Cemetery. Dekle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Endnotes
