Death

Lee Roy Furr, 70, of Scott, a retired oil field roustabout, died Sunday, April 30. He is survived by four daughters, Sherry Lee Furr, Donnie Marie Furr, Pamela Ann Furr and Brenda Furr and her friend, Gene Denio; and his mother, Rose Denio; son, Ronnie Lee Furr; four step-daughters, Angie Wilhite, Natalie Whilhite, Marleen Wilhite and Elaine Wilhite; brother, Jesse Furr; four sisters, Mary Ann Avery, Betty Criner, Opal Niland and Pearl Denham; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held Thursday, May 4, at Roller-Owens Chapel with the Rev. Jack Bloxom officiating. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
