Death

Mrs. Faye Greene Motley, age 90, of Charlotte and formerly of Blowing Rock, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Levine Dickson Hospice House in Charlotte. Faye was born July 19, 1927 in Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Elliott R. Motley, III. Faye was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blowing Rock, and volunteered throughout the community helping others. She worked along with her husband as a dental assistant. She is survived by one daughter, Helen Polito and husband Tom of Charlotte, three sons, Jerry Furr and Mike Furr of Charlotte and Pat Furr and wife Tonya of Monroe. She is also survived by eight grandchildren. Graveside services and burial for Mrs. Faye Motley will be conducted Friday, July 20, 2018 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Blowing Rock. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Watauga Humane Society, PO Box 1835, Boone, NC 28607. Austin & Barnes Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the Motley family.
