Death
ALBEMARLE — Mrs. Athie Furr Holt, 81, of 611 Edgemont Street, died at 12:10 p. m. Monday in the Stanly County Hospital, following a week of illness. Mrs. Holt was born June 13, 1883 in Stanly County and was employed by Wiscassett Mills for 35 years. She was a member of Prospect Baptist Church. Funeral will be 2 p. m. today, at Grace Baptist Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. R. Hinton. Burial will be in the cemetery at Prospect Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Arnold Frick of Albemarle, Mrs. Lester Kimrey of Belmont, and Mrs. Sam Swicegood of Statesville; five sons, S. T. Holt of Badin, W. M., Nathan S., Melvin and Joe Holt, all of Albemarle; and two sisters, Mrs. Walter Kesler and Mrs. J. R. Bost, both of Albemarle.The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, December 30, 1964
