Death
Mrs. Annie W. Furr, life long resident of Washington County, age 63 passed suddenly at her home in Wagar, Alabama May 2, 1950, after a brief illness. Funeral Services were held at the Ebenezer Methodist Church, on May 3, at 3:00 P. M. with Rev, Hadley officiating. Surviving are her husband, Enoch Furr, Sr.; four sons, W. C. Furr, Grove Hill, Ala.; Enoch Furr, Jr., Wagar, Ala.; Jacob A. Furr, Selma. Ala.; John C. Furr, Chatom, Ala.; four daughters, Mrs. Annie Laura Tarver, Chickasaw, Ala.; Jaunita Lillia Lott, Wagar, Ala.; Mrs. Sarah McKinley, Bucks, Ala.; Mrs. Nellie Jean Blankenship, Wagar, Ala., and one uncle, E. H. Walker, Jackson, Ala. Active pallbearers were: Horace Shipp, Cunningham Wheat, Joseph Edward Wheat, John Shipp, Samuel Turner and Jimmy Bumpers. Internment was in Ebenezer Cemetery with Woodson Funeral Home Directing.Washington County News, St. Stephens, Alabama, May 11, 1950
