Death
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 18 at New Palestine Baptist Church for Robert E. Furr, 68, of Slidell, La. who died Saturday, March 15 at Slidell Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Richard Randels officiated at the service. Burial was in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. A native of Picayune, he was a coffee roaster with Standard Brands and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lottie Dawsey Furr of Slidell; one daughter, Connie Furr of Slidell; and one sister, Ella Mae Downes of Picayune.
