Death
CARRIERE — Mrs. Della Gay Powell, 55, of Rt. 2, Carriere died Friday morning at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. She was born in Picayune and was the manager of Tate Insurance Co. of Picayune. She is survived by her husband, Roddie Powell of Picayune; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Glydewell of Picayune; two brothers, Carl Furr of Escatawpa and Robert Furr of New Orleans; one sister, Mrs. Ella Down of Picayune; six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Union Baptist Church in Picayune. Burial will follow in the Caeser Cemetery in Picayune with McDonald Funeral Home of Picayune in charge.Sun Herald, Biloxi, Mississippi, July 2, 1977
