Death
KANNAPOLIS Mildred Furr Dove, 83, 310 William St, died Thursday (July 6, 1995) at her residence after a short illness. Born July 30, 1911, in Union County, Mrs. Dove was the daughter of the late Silas Furr and Ida Foard Plyler. She worked with her husband at what was formerly Bill Dove Motor Co. Inc. A member of First Baptist Church, Kannapolis, she had taught the Young Adults Sunday School Class and was active in the Alice Edwards Circle. Also a member of the Kannapolis Garden Club and the Kannapolis Book Club, she was a former treasurer of the Women's Democratic Party of Cabarrus County. Her husband, WS “Bill” Dove Jr, died Oct 11, 1983. Survivors include son Wilham S. Dove III, Concord, daughter Juha A. Dove, Charlotte, brothers IF Plyler, Monroe, and Sen Aaron W. Plyler, Monroe, sisters Clara Elliott, Atlanta, Helena Keziah, Monroe, and Elizabeth Mattox, Charlotte, and three grandchildren. Services: 2 pm Saturday, First Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Norman Brisson. Burial at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. Visitation: 1-2 p.m. in the church parlor. Whitley's Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
