KANNAPOLIS — Myrtle Marlow Furr, 84, of 501 Forest Ave, died unexpectedly July 26, 1988, at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Charles Baker. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9. Born Jan 7, 1904, in Wilkes County, she was a daughter of the late James C. and Ida Haynes Marlow. A retired employee of Cannon Mills Co. Plant One, sewing room, after 45 years of service, she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She had lived in the area for 62 years. Survivors include her husband, Willis James Furr, two daughters, Geraldine Fain of the home and Mrs. Boyce (Peggy) Hunter of Concord, a brother, Lafferty Marlow of Kannapolis, a sister, Marion Dudley of Kannapolis, seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Endnotes
