Death
KANNAPOLIS -- Mrs Minnie Linker Furr, 86, of 700 West C Street, died at 9 40 a.m. Monday at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital after being in declining health for three years and seriously ill for six weeks. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Trinity Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Herman Duncan. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Park. She was the daughter of the late Simon and Clementine Rinehardt Linker. The body will remain at Whitley's Funeral Home until placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tong from 7 until 9. Mrs. Furr had made her home in Kannapolis for the past 60 years and was a charter member of Trinity Methodist Church. Her husband James P. Furr died in April, 1949. Surviving are two sons, CA Furr and Will J. Furr both of Kannapolis, eight grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.Endnotes
