Death
CONCORD — Mrs., Bessie Furr Sherwood, 66, of 3 Central Avenue, Concord, died at 3:35 yesterday afternoon at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. Death was unexpected. Born in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Robert and Rhoda Garmon Furr, born January 6, 1899. Funeral services will be conducted at Ann Street Methodist Church at 4 o’clock Tuesday by the Rev. Moody Smith. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The body will be taken to the home this afternoon. Her husband, Dewey Sherwood, died last Tuesday and funeral services were conducted Thursday. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Juanita Coble of Concord; and two sons, Dewey M. Sherwood Jr. and Kenneth Sherwood, both of Concord; one brother, Floyd Furr of Mt. Pleasant; and three sisters, Mrs. Bertie Lowder, Mrs. Lessie Mesimer, and Mrs. Ethel Belvin, all of Concord.The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, December 13, 1965
