Death
Mrs. Eva Morton, wife of Mr. James Morton of Route 6, died Tuesday night after a short illness. Mrs. Morton contracted influenza a week or two ago which developed in pneumonia which was the cause of her death. Her infant which was born a week ago died, the announcement of its funeral having been made in our last issue. The deceased was 20 years old. Before her marriage to Mr. Morton she was Miss Eva Furr. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Furr of this county.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, March 31, 1922
