From Stacy Canterbury Littleton, "My father was not buried. He wanted his ashes scattered on the property that Granny and Poppie and then Dad owned in Toms Brook Virginia. I carried them to the top of the property that Granny and Poppie called The Nop which is the highest point on the property and scattered them there. This is not well known, but I did verify that it was legal but to keep quiet so as not to deter people who were interested in purchasing the property."Endnotes
