LEWIS ARTHUR FURR, 78, of Powder Springs died Saturday. Funeral, 11 a.m. Tuesday, First Baptist Church of Powder Springs; Bellamy's Powder Springs Funeral Home. Published in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on 8/7/2006.Lewis Arthur Furr, 78, of Powder Springs died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs, with the Rev. Mike Woods officiating. Burial will be in Powder Springs Cemetery. A Fulton County native, Mr. Furr was a lifelong resident of Powder Springs. He was the owner of a trucking company and a self-service car wash and was employed in dry cleaning. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs. Survivors include his wife, Glenda Furr; four sons, Ricky Furr of Dallas, Randy Furr of Austell and Danny Furr and Kerry Furr, both of Powder Springs; three daughters, Rita Furr of Austell, Rhonda Furr of Cartersville and Jody Ledford of Douglasville; and 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Bellamy Funeral Home in Powder Springs.
