Death
STANFIELD — Mrs. Emma Furr Morgan, 89, of 2503 Love Mill Rd. died Sept. 30 ,1995, at The Lutheran Home, Albemarle. Funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, with the Rev. Randy Berryhill and the Rev. Timothy Kendall officiating. Burial is in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and at other times at the home of her son, Homer Morgan, 1807 Polk-Ford Rd. A native of Stanly County, she was born Dec. 21, 1905. She was a member of Kinza Memorial Baptist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include five sons, Glenn B. Morgan of Mooresville, Homer Morgan of Stanfield, Gene Morgan of Locust, Ray Morgan of Wingate and Loyd Morgan of Pasadena, MD; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Diggs Of Charlotte, Mrs. Hazel Barbee of Stanfield and Mrs. Roseann Parks of Huntersville; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Hopkins of Stanfield; 29 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Morgan, and three sons, Ralph, Wayne and Wade Morgan.
