Death
James L. Furr, 72, Bothwell Hotel, died at 7:10 p.m. Monday at Bothwell Hospital. He was born in Texas, Oct. 17, 1904, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe L. Furr. On Aug. 5, 1955, at Kansas City, he married Miss Willie (Betty) Drummond, who died Jan. 30, 1975. He was a farmer and rancher until his retirement. Surviving are two sons and a daughter by a previous marriage, James Furr, Farmington, N.M.; Jerry Furr, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Mrs. Betty O'Neal, Farmington, N.M.; four sisters, Mrs. Ruby Winston, Orla, Tex.; Mrs. Inez Franklin, Pecos, Tex.; Mrs. Lorena Bell, Midland, Tex.; Mrs. C. A. Hamilton, Odessa, Tex.; and six grandchildren. The body is at the Ewing Funeral Home Funeral arrangements are incomplete.The Sedalia Democrat, Sedalia, Missouri, February 1, 1977
