KANNAPOLIS — The funeral will be Wednesday for Mary Furr Strube, 97, formerly of West F Street, who died Sunday (Feb. 10, 2002) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord. Born Jan. 26, 1905, in Stanly County, Mr. Strube, a son of the late Julius and Eliza Jane Furr, retired in 1972 from Cannon Mills. She was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lee Strube, and son Ralph Strube. Survivors include daughters Louise Tuggle, Charlotte, Lucille Hooks, Newton, and Ruby Johnson, Southport; sons Grady Strube, Eatonton, Ga., Ray Strube, Jacksonville, Fla., and Eugene Strube, Fernandina Beach, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Central Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Curtis Parker. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park. Visitation: 6-8 tonight, Lady’s Funeral Home.

Death
KANNAPOLIS -- Mrs. Mary Furr Strube, 97, died Sunday, February 10, 2002 at NorthEast Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, at Central Baptist Church, Rev. Curtis Parker officiating. The body will remain at Lady's Funeral Home until taken to the church to lie in state from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lady's Funeral Home. Surviving are her daughters, Louise Tuggle, Lucille Hooks and Ruby Johnson; sons, Grady Strube, Ray Strube and Eugene Strube; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.Lady's Funeral Home is serving the Strube Family.
