Death
Mrs. Sarah Furr Swaringen, 93, of 678 Hyde Park NE, Concord, widow of the Rev. R. A. Swaringen, died yesterday at the Timrock Nursing Home in Concord. She was born in Cabarrus County on June 4, 1877 to William Martin and Jane Hartsell Furr. Surviving are five sons, Erneset Swaringen of Goldsboro, James W. Swaringen of Albemarke (sic), Charles Swaringen of Greensboro, Roy Swaringen of Winston-Salem and Richard Swaringen of Concord; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a half-brother, Carl H. Furr of Midland; and three half-sisters, Mrs. F. D. Cox of Concord, Mrs. A. D. Harkey of Mint Hill and Mrs. Vasker Mullis of Indian Trail. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church at Concord. Burial will be in Mill Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Cabarrus County. The body is at Hartsell Funeral Home at Concord.The Sentinel, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, February 2, 1971
