Death
MORGANTON — Funeral rites for Mrs. Augusta T. Fox Furr, 85, who died in Grace Hospital Tuesday afternoon, were held at Glen Alpine Methodist church at 3:00 o'clock this afternoon. Burial was in the Glen Alpine Cemetery. Mrs. Furr, daughter of the late James T. and Minevra Branch Fox, was a native of Burke County. She had lived In Tampa, Fla., for the last 35 years, but had spent the summer months in Burke county. Recently she had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Fox, of Morganton, due to her health. She was a member of Linville Methodist church. Surviving are one son, William R. Furr, Jr. of Tampa; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.Hickory Daily Record, Hickory, North Carolina, July 24, 1958
