Death
Mrs. Susan C. Furr died at her home last Friday, November 20, 1925. Her death was not unexpected. Since August 10, 1925 she was confined to her bed. The deceased was born February 13, 1843, being 82 years, 9 months and 2 days of age. She was married to Israel Furr in September 1865. To this union were born six children, five boys and one girl, three of whom preceded her to the grave. Fifteen grand children and three great grandchildren also survive. The surviving children are: Madison, Jason and Lewis Furr. A large number of relatives and friends also survive. Mrs. Furr was loved by all who knew her. She was loved for her kind and sweet dispositions toward her children and friends. She will be greatly missed in her community. Funeral services were conducted by her pastor. Rev. E. K. Counts, from St. Martin E. L. Church, Saturday morning at 11 o’clock and interment was made in the cemetery beside her husband.Endnotes
