Notes
Death
Mrs. Paul W. Furr, of No. 6 township, was found dead about 8 o'clock last Monday morning. The body was found on a hillside in the woods near the road, not a great distance from her home, Mrs. Furr left her home at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon, saying to her small twin grand-children, who seemed to be fretting: "I am going over to Wade's to see if his little girls are crying.” Wade is her son who lives some distance away. She did not return that evening, and on Monday morning some one sent to Mr. Wade Furr’s to see if his mother had been there. They were informed that she had not, and a search was begun for her immediately with the above result. The body was found by Mr. Jackson Safrit. Mrs. Furr was about 65 or 70 years of age, and a sister of Messrs. Chalmers and Wm. Plott; of Concord. Coroner Lentz and Dr. R. S. Young went out as soon as notified. It was found that her death was the result of natural causes, as she had heart trouble for some time. The corner’s jury so rendered their verdict. The Concord Times, Concord, North Carolina, January 5, 1904
