Death
Walter I. Furr, 75, of 603A South College St., Dothan, died Wednesday night in a local hospital following an apparent heart attack. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Ward-Wilson Funeral Chapel with Capt. William Williford officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward-Wilson Brown Service Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the funeral home. Mr. Furr was born in Texas and resided in various cities prior to moving to Dothan in 1959. He was a retired tree surgeon and attended the Salvation Army Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Inez Middleton Furr, Dothan; two daughters, Miss Charlotte Furr, Mrs. Karen Rodgers, Bakersville, Calif.; one son, Bobby Furr, Bakersville; one sister, Mrs. Mable Everett, Redding, Calif.; two grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Dell Coughlin, Dothan; several nieces and nephews. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Dell Coughlin, Apartment F-4, Medical Center Terrace, 307 6th Ave.The Dothan Eagle, Dothan, Alabama, March 1, 1984
