Death

Funeral services for Mrs. Iva J. Gambol, 68, of Tell were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Tell Methodist Church conducted by Rev. C. C. Lamb of Tolbert, former pastor, assisted by Quentin Henderson. Interment was in the Tell Cemetery under the direction of Newberry’s. Pallbearers were Roy Wygal, John Brownine, J. C. Smith, W. H. Tippett and Bill and Johnnie Peery. Mrs. Gambol died Tuesday in Turner Nursing Home here. Born November 28, 1900, in Mena, Ark., she was married to Virgil M. Gambol here November 26, 1920. He preceded her in death June 15, 1964, at Tell. Mrs. Gambol came to the community of Tell in Childress County in 1926 from Mena, Ark. She was a member of the Tell Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, Gene of Tell, James of Pasadena and LaRue of Plainview and one daughter, Mrs. L. P. Malone of Tyler, 14 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mabel Everett of Goshen, Calif.
