Death

Sandra Lee Furr Hoover, 70, of 1556 Walters Mill Rd., Providence, NC died on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Hoover was born in Danville, VA on January 29, 1947, a daughter of the late Robert Lee Furr and the late Elizabeth Reynolds Furr. She lived all of her life in the Providence Community where she was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild. She was of the Baptist Faith. On March 3, 1967, she married, Herbert Clarence Hoover, Jr., who survives of the residence. Survivors include a daughter, Theresa Hardison and husband Jody; two sons, Garland Lee Furr and wife Cindy and Kenneth Michael Hoover and wife Michelle; four grandchildren, Michael Lee Hoover, Catherine Ann Gammon and husband Jonathan, Amber Nicole Hoover, and Mary Elizabeth Hardison; and one great grandchild, Madison Elizabeth Gammon. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Patricia McCann; and two brothers, Richard Furr and Frankie Furr. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel conducted by the Reverend Carl E. Burger. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 PM and at other times will be at the residence, 1556 Walters Mill Rd., Providence, NC. Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel is respectfully serving the Hoover family.
