Death
TALLULAH (Special) — Last rites for Mrs. Pauline Hollingsworth Furr, 77, prominent Tallulah resident who died Wednesday at the Madison Parish Hospital after a long illness are scheduled 10 a.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church here. Officiating will be the Rev. Oscar R. Daniel and the Rev. Dan Lott. She was a native of Attala County, Miss., had resided in Tallulah for 42 years and was a member of the Baptist Church. Interment will be in Silver Cross cemetery, under direction of Young's Funeral home. Mrs. Furr is survived by her husband, James Elery Furr, Tallulah; two sons, J. E. Furr Jr. and Louis B. Furr, and one daughter, Mrs. R. R. Mitchell, all of Tallulah, and five grandchildren. The body will lie in state at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Carroll Crow, Jim Folk, C. E. Goss, Robert E. Brown, Rupert Harmon, Jeff Goza, Robert Graves and J. T. Roy.Published in The Monroe News-Star (LA), Friday, September 15, 1961
