ROCK HILL — Orell Furr, 57, died Saturday. Funeral 4 p.m. Monday at Bass Chapel. Survivors: wife; step-daughter, Miss Joyce Broughton of the home; mother, Mrs. Estelle Smith of Kannapolis, N.C.; sisters, Mrs. Mamie Hollar, Mrs. Claudine LaFavers, Mrs. Mamie Kirby, all of Kannapolis: brother, W. ROCK HILL — Funeral services for Orell “Slick’’ Furr, 57, of 168 S. York Ave., were to be held today at 4 p.m. at Bass Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev, Wilbert Maxwell, with burial in Laurelwood Cemetery. He died unexpectedly Saturday at York General Hospital. Pallbearers were to be David Lyle, Matthew Anderson, King Estes, Hubert Blackwell, Billy Neal and Robert Johnson.
