HIGH POINT, Jan. 12.—Funeral for Grover Littleton Thompson, 60, who died at his home here today after a long illness, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of the Sechrest Funeral home. Interment will be in Floral Garden cemetery. Born in Stanley county, Mr. Thompson was a son of J. F. and Betty Simpson Thompson. He was married to the former Miss Bessie Furr, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, M/Sgt. R. G. Thompson and Z. F. Thompson, of High Point, and F. L. Thompson, of New Bern, and one sister, Mrs. Frances M. Bayne, of High Point, route 1. Before his illness Mr. Thompson was employed as a linotype operator at the High Point Enterprise.News and Record, Greensboro, North Carolina, January 13, 1946
