Death
STAMFORD, Texas — Ethel Furr, 83, died Thursday in an Abilene hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tankersley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Stamford. Furr was born Aug. 12, 1904 in Baldwyn, Miss. She and C.H Furr were married in 1921 in Lindsey, Okla. He died Oct. 14, 1977. She was a homemaker and member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Bailill of Wichita Falls: a son, Charles Jr. of Stamford: a brother, Guy Glover of Baldwyn, Miss; nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.Times Record News, Wichita Falls, Texas, January 8, 1988
