Sunday, June 18, 2006 — Muriel Luther Furr, 78, of 808 N. Main St., Norwood, died Friday, June 16, 2006 at Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, Norwood, with the Rev. Mark Forrest officiating. Burial will follow in Norwood Cemetery. She was born Dec. 25, 1927 in Stanly County, the daughter of Charles Norman and Cora Edna Furr Luther and was retired from Burnsville Apparel. She was a member of the Norwood First Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Michael Furr, brothers Pete and Fred Luther of Norwood, neices and newphews. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sundat at the Edwards Funeral Home, Norwood.
