Death
WILMINGTON — Bonnie Marie Buck of Marco Island, FL and Wilmington, NC, died Sunday, December 8, 1996 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 1996 in Covenant Church, Wilmington, by Rev. Jeff Kennedy. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens, Wilmington. Pallbearers will be: Brownie Pack, Steve Furr, Scott Furr, David Bensch, Andy Furr and Seth Charde. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, Wilmington. In addition to her Mother, Ms. Buck is survived by two brothers and one sister, James Stephen Furr and wife, Barbara, Mrs. Miriam Furr Lucas and husband Hollis, and Daniel Scott Furr and wife Jeaneen, all of Wilmington; and her fiance’, Mark Charde of Marco Island, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Bonnie Marie was born in Charlotte, NC on July 16, 1950, the daughter of Mrs. Miriam Coulter Furr of Wrightsville Beach, NC and the late James Martin Furr. A Math Major, graduating with honors from Winthrop College, Bonnie was a Mortgage Banker in Hilton Head Island, SC for several years. She moved to Marco Island, FL and was a partner in Marco Island Floor Covering. Bonnie was a founding partner of Martin & Marie, Inc., a gourmet baking company. She also served as President of the Pilot's Club of Marco Island, FL. Most recently, Bonnie enjoyed her work as a commissioned artist and short-story author. As an animal lover, she will be missed by her “Inky”, “Tigger”, and “Beau”.
