Cora Ella HELMS
(28 Jul 1886 - 24 Nov 1975)
Note: the following is a note of thanks Mrs. Cora Helms Hedrick wrote shortly after the death of her brother, James Adam Helms, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
THANKS
My husband and I belong to the Primitive Baptist Church. We joined in 1918 under Elder David Thrash, at Pleasant Grove, Kirby, Arkansas, which is a sweet home to us. Our pastor now is Elder Elmer Milholen. We esteem him highly, and always enjoy hearing him preach Christ and Him crucified to the comfort of his children.
My brother, James Adam Helms, died July 15, 1954. His obituary was printed in THE PRIMITIVE BAPTIST written by Brother C. M. Mills, of Charlotte, N. C., the pastor of Watson Church, where be belonged. I wish to thank every one for their kindness and love. They were so good to him while he was sick in the hospital. He surely suffered for so long. We all do miss him here on earth. He was a good man; loved by all who knew him. We all hope to meet him in heaven where there well be no more sad partings.
His sister in love and hope,
Mrs. C. A. Hedrick, R. 4,
Nashville, Arkansas (1954)
