Death
James Emmett Furr, 54, of 4 Deer Run Drive, a truck driver, died Thursday. Mr. Furr was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. June Ferguson Furr; four daughters, Mrs. Judy Barksdale, Mrs. Gayle Ausdenkamp, Mrs. Mary Manderm and Miss Paula Furr, all of Hampton (Calhoun County); his mother, Mrs. Virginia Furr of Hampton; seven brothers, Lonnie Furr of Kentucky, Joe Furr of El Dorado, Richard Furr of California, Billy Ray Furr of Texas, Wade Furr of Alabama, and Dale and Jack Furr, both of Camden, and six grandchildren. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Hampton Baptist Church. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Little Rock, Arkansas, January 15, 1978
