Death
OKLAHOMA CITY Harry Lee Furr was born in Lonoke, Arkansas, in 1921 and died May 23rd in OKC. He was a graduate of Central High and OCU. As a glider pilot in the Army Air Corps, 90th Squadron 438th Troop Carrier Group, he was in the D-Day Invasion of Normandy. He completed his service as a First Lieutenant. He retired from Continental Insurance Co. in 1980, and his wife Jo died the following year. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 36 and a volunteer with the Oklahoma City Blood Institute. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; his daughters, Sherry Stephens and Carol Robinson; grandchildren, Libby Schnee, Kelly Lashar, Ashley Keane and Teal Carlock; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Jaclyn, Brooke, Oliver, Ivy, London and Tripp; and nephews, Carl Michael Smith, Kirk Furr and David Furr. A memorial service will be held on Thursday the 31st of May at 2 p.m. at his member church, Village Christian, 755-0546. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your charity.The Oklahoman, May 29, 2012
