Death
Memorial services for David Alvin Furr, 82, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 25, 2018, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Monroe, with The Rev’d Dawnell S. Stodghill officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow the service in the fellowship hall of the church. Interment will be in the St. Thomas Episcopal Columbarium, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe. Mr. Furr was born November 12, 1935, in Picayune, MS, and passed away on August 18, 2018, in Monroe, LA. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jeanette Thrasher Furr; children, Kay Furr Pressley, and Kim Furr Beale and husband Tom; 7 grandchildren; and 2 sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church.Endnotes
