Death
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Picayune for Ruby Edna Thornhill Furr, 98, of Hattiesburg who died Feb. 26, 1992, in the Forrest General Hospital. Dr. Raymon Leake will officiate. Interment will be at New Palestine Cemetery in Picayune. Mrs. Thornhill, a native of Picayune, was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include five daughters, Charlene Furr Schrock of Picayune; Thomasine Furr Blackwell of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Ivaloy Furr Tolar of Pass Christian, Christine Furr Carsley of Canton and Jesse Mae Furr Scoggin of Baton Rouge; 7 sons, David A. Furr of Monroe, La., and John Bryce Furr of Baton Rouge; a sister, Marietta Pearl Mills of Picayune; 19 grandchildren rand 29 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at McDonald Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. Saturday until service time.Endnotes
