Death

Funeral services for Myrtis Furr Mosley, 84, of Arcola will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 10 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Greenville.  She died Tuesday, February 7 at her home.  Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. Mrs. Mosley was born on March 10, 1932 the daughter of Hugh Gordon Furr and Gladys King Furr.  She graduated from Deer Creek School in 1950.  She married Sherman "Bubba" Mosley and they made their home in Greenville where they owned and operated Mosley Cleaners until retiring in the early 1990's. In 2006 they moved to Arcola.  Mr. Mosley preceded her in death in 2009.   She was a member of Second Baptist Church later becoming a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Susan Mosley Glasco (Xan) of Greenville; son, Tommy Mosley (Brenda) of Lake Village; sister, Tresa Greer (Ted) of Hollandale; 3 grandchildren, Alex Glasco of Greenville, Michael Mosley of Little Rock, AR and Lacy Smith of Biloxi;  4 great grandchildren, John Thomas Mosley, Alana Smith, Katherine Smith and Paisley Mosley; step grandchild, Amanda Dale and several nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
