Death
Mrs. Myrtle Furr Hartfield, 69, of 906 West Fourth St., died early today at Methodist Hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Quigley’s Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Hartfield lived with a daughter, Mrs. Bob Freeman. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Freeman and Mrs. H. E. Watts of New Orleans; four sons, John H. of Norman, Okla., Thomas R. of Beirut, Lebanon, Avery K. of Pascagoula and Homer R., of Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, Mrs. W. C. Kinnard of Houston, Mrs. Carl Rollands of Hattiesburg, Sgt. Michael Massengale of Germany, Kent and Tommy Hartfield of Beirut, Karen Hartfield of San Francisco; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Will Furr, Van Cleve, and Walter Furr, Bogalusa; and four sisters, Mrs. L. M. Nielsen and Mrs. Orville D'Angelo of Pascagoula, Mrs. A. M. Slocum of Foxworth and Mrs. Mattie Stanley of Bruce, Fla.Hattiesburg American, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, November 11, 1963
